QOTW!
(Question Of The Week)

So, as most of you may know, in my culture marriages arranged by the parents/elders are more common as opposed to picking  your own spouse. I feel like I am in the middle when it comes to this topic. I have seen arranged marriages work out extremely well, and those that turn out terrible. I have seen love marriages that turn out in a disaster, but have also seen some successful ones.  It is really hard to say which one is 'better' because I really think it varies from person to person and from family to family.  I feel like there are problems in every single marriage, it wouldn't be normal not to have any at all. It is human nature, we all are different, have different opinions, there are no 2 people that are alike in every single aspect.
I just want to make it clear though, that I am not for parents who don't give their children any choice what-so-ever or who just force their decision on their children! Neither am I for children who completely don't listen to their parents opinion or at least consider it. After all, they are only trying to protect their children.

Arranged marriage VS. Love marriage, what is your opinion and why?

QOTW!
(Question Of The Week)

When it comes to friendship, I try my best to give it my 100%.  One part of friendship, to me, is being able to express my opinions to them whether it is in their favor or not. I feel obligated to, as their friend to look out for them even when they are not looking out for themselves. Sometimes people are not aware of the situation they are in, and a third person can see the whole issue better.  Which is when good friends come in.   I have been struggling with something in my head for the past few days and don't know how to let it out. When I see a good friend of mine doing something which I perceive will have a nasty outcome, I can't help myself but to express my honest opinion to them because I don't want to see them getting hurt again and again. Especially when you know all that they've been through and they're just making a stupid decision once again. Whether they will listen to me or not, is simply out of the question. Because I feel like one has to go through something on their own to learn from their mistakes, no matter how much you can tell them otherwise.  I would still take the chance and express myself, even if my friends would be upset with me. In the long run, I would hope for them to realize their mistake and see that I meant the best for them in my heart.

How would you give advice to a friend who you know won't take it?  or how do you even address an issue to them, with them thinking you know nothing about it (or that you "won't understand")?

QOTW!
(Question Of The Week)

Life is a roller coaster, as we know it! We go through a rush of emotions/experiences. sometimes we feel like we are the only ones that feel that way, or we don't see beyond what we know. My goal is to have people share their experiences about certain things, broaden their minds, or just vent! (trust me, it helps a lot). I will ask one question per week and I would like to know what you think about it. =)

What do YOU(him,her,them,they) think?

As a child, you ask mommy or daddy, "Mommy(or daddy) what do you think about my new dress?
As a teenager, you ask your friends, "Do you think he's(or she's) cute?
As an adult, you ask your spouse, "What do you think about that house, can we make it a home?

Growing up, we come across many people whose opinions matter to us, and those whose opinions we could care less about.  We all come across a point in our lives where we look for support from that ONE person who matters most. Someone who makes us who we are. Someone that keeps us going every day.  Someone who swears they will be with us through thick and thin. Someone we KNOW, genuinely cares for and loves us.

Sometimes we hear agreements, other times they disagree strongly. They may fail to understand because we only know so much until we are in their shoes, right? They may have certain expectations FROM you and OF you, which might not match yours. Then what?

How much do we care about what 'others' think of us? and to what extent do we go along with it?
